Within the church of Holy Trinity, North End, Meldreth, there is a treble bell bearing inscription and a framed "memorial" listing the names of 11 men who gave their lives. There are a further 14 names listed as a Roll of Honour 7 of whom gave their lives the others serving and returning. The memorial was dedicated 21 October 1950 by the Archdeacon of Ely.

CHAMBERLAIN	Sidney	Company Serjeant Major 7623 1st Bn., Bedfordshire Regiment killed in action on Thursday, 25th October 1917. Age 31. Born and resident Shepreth, enlisted Royston. Son of John Edward and Elizabeth Chamberlain, of Council Cottages, Meldreth; husband of Alice Chamberlain, of Hope Folly, Meldreth. DASH	Reuben	Private 13671 11th Bn., Suffolk Regiment killed in action on Saturday, 1st July 1916. Born Meldreth, enlisted Cambridge. Buried in CERISY-GAILLY FRENCH NATIONAL CEMETERY, Somme, France. Grave II. E. 11. See Meldreth also.
EAST	Jabez	Private 327522 "D" Coy. 1st Bn., Cambridgeshire Regiment killed in action on Tuesday, 31st July 1917. Age 24. Born Meldreth, enlisted Cambridge. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth East, of North End, Meldreth; husband of Elsie Whitehall (formerly East), of North End, Meldreth. Formerly 5688 Cambridgeshire Regiment. FARNHAM	Ralph	Captain 6th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers who died of wounds on Thursday, 31st October 1918. Age 30. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Farnham, of Meldreth, Cambs; husband of Daisy A. FLACK	Harry	Private G/43317, 2nd Battalion, Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). Killed in action Tuesday, 26th March 1918 in France & Flanders. FULLER	John William	Private 11012 2nd Bn., Grenadier Guards who was killed in action on Thursday, 14th September 1916. Age 32. Born Burwell, enlisted Cambridge. . Son of Robert Fuller, of Smith End, Barley, Royston, Herts; husband of Agnes E. Fuller, of Hope Folly, Meldreth, Cambs. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 8 D. See Meldreth also. Extract from Cambridge Independent Press - Friday 6 October 1916 – page 4: MELDRETH. Another Meldreth man has fallen in action. Mrs. Fuller, of Allerton-terrace, Meldreth, received official intimation on Saturday last that her husband, Pte. John Fuller, of the Grenadier Guards, had been killed in action on 14th September. Prior to the war he was employed by Mr. Elbourn, of Meldreth, for whom he worked only short time, he having been in the Army before the war, and as soon as war was declared he was called to his regiment and sent to the front. Much sympathy will be felt for his widow and two children in their sad loss.

YUILL	Arthur	Trooper 7949518 17th/21st Lancers, R.A.C. who died on Tuesday, 19th January 1943. Age 28. Son of Arthur and Jane Yuill; husband of A. M. Yuill, of Royston, Hertfordshire. Commemorated on MEDJEZ-EL-BAB MEMORIAL, Tunisia. Face 3. See Meldreth also.

On Saturday the twenty-first day of October 1950 the treble bell in the tower of this parish church was dedicated by the archdeacon of Ely, the venerable H.F. Kirkpatrick, M.A., To the glory of God, for the use of his church, and in proud memory of the men of the parish who in two world wars gave their lives for their King and their fellow men. The bell bears the inscription: "Honour . The . Fallen. In Two . Wars . 1914-1918 . And . 1939-1945"; it weighs 4 cwt. 2 grs. 271bs: and was cast by Mears & Stainbank at the Whitechapel foundry. Towards its cost the sum of £125 came from a bequest by the late George S. W. JEBB, esquire, M.A., of Meldreth Manor, and the remainder was subscribed by the people of this parish. F.
