                5 of the crew survived and were captured, Saturday, 29th July 
                1944. Born 6th Septemeber 1921. Native of Thriplow, Cambs. Son 
                of Ellen Marshall (a widow), of Thriplow, Cambridge. In the 1939 
                Register he was a Farm Labourer, unmarried, resident with his 
                widowed mother at Church Street, Thriplow, South Cambridgeshire 
                R.D., Cambridgeshire. Buried in DURNBACH WAR CEMETERY, Bayern,

                a mine laying sortie to the Nectarines area, Saturday, 9th January 
                1943. Aged 21. Born 23rd June 1921, baptised 7th August 1921 in 
                Thriplow. Cambs, son of Adolphus and Alice Mabel Smith. Native 
                of Thriplow, Cambs. Based at Snaith, Yorkshire. Son of Adolphus 
                Mortimer Smith and Alice Mabel Smith, of Thriplow, Cambridgeshire. 
                In the 1939 Register he was a Private Gardener, single, resident 
                with his parents in Church Street, Thriplow, South Cambridgeshire 
                R.D., Cambridgeshire. No known grave. Commemorated on RUNNYMEDE 
                MEMORIAL, Surrey. Panel 165.  |

                married to Ellen G Symonds, resident Church Street, Thriplow, 
                South Cambridgeshire R.D., Cambridgeshire. Buried in KRANJI WAR
