There are two memorials at Binstead, one external and the other inside
the Holy Cross Church. The external cross stands at the junction of
Church Road and Binstead Hill and takes the form of an octagonal Latin
cross and a plinth on a three stepped base; there is a sword of sacrifice
on front face of the cross. The internal memorial is within the church
of Holy Cross. There are 27 names for World War 1 and 11 names for World
War 2. Also buried in the churchyard is Field Marshall
