The memorial for Great Steeping is to be found within the grounds of St. Andrew church. It takes the form of a Cavalry cross mounted on a long shaft atop aplinth with a single-steeped base. There is also a list of men who served in World War 1.

To the glory of God and in loving and grateful memory of the men of this village who
laid down their lives in the Great European War 1914 – 1919.
They died that we might live.

BALDERSTON	G	Balderstone on CWGC/no trace SDGW. Possibly George Balderston, born c 1887 the son of William and Ann Balderston. Private 22618. 4th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 15th April 1918. Commemorated Ploegsteert Memorial. Panel 3.
CARRATT	Fred	Carrott on CWGC/SDGW. Private 27084. 2nd Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, formerly 5044 Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 5th December 1916 (1917 on memorial). Born Thorpe St Peter, enlisted Spilsby and resident Huttoft, Lincs. Commemorated Beaumont-Hamel British Cemetery. B.15.
JOHNSON	Frank	Private 52488. 7th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, formerly 62591 North Staffordshire Regiment. Killed in action 8th November 1918. Son of Mr T Johnson of Hatton (Halton?) Stone Bridge, Spilsby, Lincs. Born Great Steeping, enlisted Lincoln and resident Spilsby, Lincs. Commemorated Dourlers Communal Cemetery Extension. Spec Mem A.2.
