The Saxilby memorial is to be found inside the church on the south wall of the nave listed on two stone plaques. That for World War 1 is of a mottled white stone with incised black lettering listing 34 names, mounted in a wooden frame. That for World War 2 is of a pale brown stone with incised black lettering listing 10 names.

Only known Saxilby connection is that 1915 attestation of his brother Harold gives his address as Lincoln Rd, Saxilby. +

Born 1890 Hull, son of Arthur and Maria Louisa (née Bates) Pocklington of Saxilby. Pre-war occupation assisting in his father's mill. Died of pneumonia 23 October 1918, Fulham Military Hospital, age 26. Born 14 Jul 1892, bpt 21 Aug 1892, Sheffield, St Mary, son of Irvine & Edith (née Knight) Winterbottom, who were living in Saxilby with their family in 1911. Husband of Mary Eliza (née Underwood) Winterbottom of York Buildings, Bishop's Sutton, Hants, father of Edith. Pre-war occupation fitter/turner. Attested 17 Jun 1913, Lincoln, to RFC, transferred to RNAS 30 Jun 1914. Buried in Bishop's Sutton (St. Nicholas) Churchyard. #+

Probably Flying Officer 191473 Peter John Newton, 114 Sqdn. Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Killed 9 February 1946, age22 when Boston he was piloting crashed in sea off Ras Imran, Aden. Born 1923, son of the late Joseph John Newton and Hilda May (née Grundy) Newton of Lincoln. Presumed connection with Saxilby is that his mother's mother was born there. Commemorated on Column 285 Alamein Memorial, Egypt. +
