The
Litlington memorial is to be found inside the church of St Michael the
Archangel, Litlington, Sussex. It takes the form of a rectangular wooden
board set upon a wooden shelf with a wooden candleholder each end of
the shelf while the bottom of the board is decorated with carved wooden
roses; above there is a grooved wooden top with a painted gold cross
below, centre with the lettering below in black. There are four names
listed, two from World War 1 and two from World War 2.

a night flighter during a raid on an oil refinery at Giurgiu south
of Bucharest, Romania, 29 June 1944. Aged 27. Native of Lower Willingdon,
Sussex. Son of E. H. and Elizabeth Walden, of Lower Willingdon,
Sussex. No known grave. Commemorated on MALTA MEMORIAL, Malta. Panel
