The memorial stands
on the seafront beside the Bowling Green in a little park of its own.
It has 53 names of which 4 are WW2, and one of the Korean War. Twelve
of the names are also on the Sorbie Memorial and one on the Whithorn
one. The names are listed under the Regiments they served in. It is
made from rough-hewn granite. (Grid Reference NX479465) There is a
plaque to the Korean War Casualty
