here is the entire Isle of Man Roll of Honour for the First
World War from B E Sargeaunt's "The Isle of Man and the
Great War" 1921 transcribed by David Bellamy. Corrections
to the original have been made and the detail expanded into
this database, men have been added through detail on the Soldier's
Died in the Great War CD. The introduction from the book reads:
"This
list of names of members of His Majesty’s Forces who
gave their lives in the Empire’s cause does not pretend
to be complete It has been compiled from the best records
available The qualifications for the inclusion of a name are
either (1) the man or woman shall have been born in the Isle
of Man, or (2) the man or woman shall have been resident in
the Isle of Man when he or she joined His Majesty’s
Forces. The Author will welcome communications indicating
the names of others who died whilst serving and who satisfy
either of the conditions referred to above, so that the list
may be amended in the event of a Second Edition being published"
