DENMEAD WAR MEMORIALS

World War 1 & 2 - Detailed Information
Compiled and copyright © Martin Edwards 2008

There are two war memorials within All Saints Parish Church, Hambleton Road, Denmead. There is a brass plaque naming those who died in World War 1, another for World War 2 plus some plaques to individuals. There is also a simple area for commemorating these men on Remembrance Sunday. A memorial hall was built in the 1920's, by public subscription, to also commemorate those who died and the same names are listed on wooden boards within the hall. There are 23 names for World War 1 and 26 names for World War 2.
