Private 41485, 13th Battalion, Essex Regiment. Killed in action at Arras 28th April 1917. Age 33. Born and resident Wilstone, enlisted Tring. Husband of Elizabeth Badrick, of Wilstone, Tring, Herts. Formerly 25626, Northamptonshire Regiment. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 7.

CARTWRIGHT

Walter

Driver T/438606, 667th H.T. Company, Royal Army Service Corps. Died 24th October 1918 in England. Age 43. Born and resident Tring, enlisted Hertford. Son of William and Sarah Cartwright; husband of Lavinia Cartwright, of Startopsend, Marsworth Tring. Born at Wilstone. Buried in WILSTONE CEMETERY, Hertfordshire.

COKER Alfred

Private 7716, 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action in Belgium 9th October 1917. Age 35. Born and resident Pitstone, Buckinghamshire, enlisted Tring. Formerly 190602, Royal Engineers. Buried in HOOGE CRATER CEMETERY, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Grave VIII. K. 3.

DOVER William Henry
Private 3384, 37th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers. Died 22nd May 1917. Age 38. Husband of Matilda Dover, of Wilstone. Buried in WILSTONE CEMETERY, Hertfordshire.

Walter James Reeve

Private 7279, 1st Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment. Died of wounds in France 9th November 1914. Age 28. Born and enlisted Tring. Son of R. E. Tomlin, of White House, Miswell, Tring, Herts. Buried in BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France. Grave III. C. 10.

GOODSON Ernest James

Sapper WR/552514, Inland Water Transport, Royal Engineers (memorial states Royal Artillery). Died at Bangalore, India, 1st October 1918 following an accident with a carriage. Born and resident Tring, enlisted London. Buried in Bangalore (Hosur Road, Cemetery). Commemorated on MADRAS 1914-1918 WAR MEMORIAL, CHENNAI, India. Face 6.

Frank John

Private 18703, 2nd Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action 11th July 1916 in France & Flanders. Enlisted Bedford, resident Wilstone. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 2 C.

PROCTOR Arthur

Private 35898, 69th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps. Died of wounds 29th July 1916 in France & Flanders. Born and enlisted Tring, resident Wilstone. Formerly 27062, Bedfordshire Regiment. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 5 C and 12 C.

Private G/9224, 2nd Battalion, Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment). Killed in action in France 4th January 1917. Born Wilstone, enlisted Watford, resident Tring. Son of Thomas Rodwell, of Wilstone Tring. Buried in MUNICH TRENCH BRITISH CEMETERY, BEAUMONT-HAMEL, Somme, France. Grave C. 39.
