Private 25861. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died in Hospital in France 25th February 1917, aged 40 years. Born at Linwood , Lincs on 20th February 1877, the son of Cook and Mary Holdershaw of Linwood House, Market Rasen, Lincs. Enlisted Market Rasen, Lincs. Commemorated BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY. VIII.B.173.

He hath done what he could.
