Within
the church of St Denys, Sleaford there is a brass plaueq mounted on
a wooden backboard commemorating those who fell in the South Afrcian
(Boer) War 1899-1902. There are three names listed. The memorial financed
by public subscription and was unveiled and dedicated 21st December
1902. Details of the memorial and those who served appeared in the Sleaford
Gazette, 9th December 1899, 19th May 1900, 27th October 1900, 3rd November
1900. 14th June 1902 and 27th December 1902, in the Stamford Mercury
4th January 1901 and the Sleaford Standard 31st August 1899.
