From
the B1150, heading towards North Walsham, turn left by at the Three
Horseshoes pub crossroads. Continue onwards and the memorial can be
found on the left just before the road bears round to the right. It
takes the form of a simple cross on a three-tiered plinth on a single
stepped base in a gravel surround.

300061, 16th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment who was ‘Killed
in Action’ on 20/06/1918. William was born and resided in Scottow
and enlisted in Norwich. He is now laid to rest in Row C. Grave
9 in THIENNES BRITISH CEMETERY in France. In the Norfolk Roll of
Honour he is listed as John ATKINS and this might relate to his
brother. |

who was ‘Killed in Action’ on 19/05/1917 at the age of 31. Harry
was born in Frettenham, resided in Scottow and enlisted in Norwich.
He was the son of William and Marian Barnard, of Swanton Abbot,
Norwich. He is now laid to rest in Grave II. O. 15 in MAROC BRITISH
CEMETERY, GRENAY in France. |

of Cranwich Rectory, Mundford, Norfolk. He is now commemorated on
ALEXANDRIA (CHATBY) MILITARY AND WAR MEMORIAL CEMETERY in Egypt. |
