WALPOLE ST. ANDREW.

“REMEMBER US.” —A large concourse of parishioners and others assembled in the church and in the churchyard on Sunday afternoon, the occasion being the unveiling and dedication of two memorials of parishioners who made the supreme sacrifice in the war. A brass tablet, inscribed with 21 names of the fallen, has been placed at the west end of the church, and a bronze Cross in the churchyard. Both are finely designed and executed, and the Cross, in addition to the words of dedication and the names of the fallen, bears the following suitable inscriptions:

Ye that live on mid English pastures green,
Remember us and think what might have been.

The unveiling of the memorials was entrusted to Vice-Admiral Eyres, D.S.O., who delivered a moving address in the churchyard. The ringers gave muffled peals. The short service in the church as taken by the vicar, and the Lessons read by the Rev. Mowbray Smith. A small orchestra of four violins accompanied the organ in the singing. A company of Boy Scouts, under Scoutmaster the Rev. H. C. Staveley, attended the service. A collection for the Memorial Fund realised £10. The following names are inscribed on the memorials: Robert Bailey, John Thomas Bailey, Walter Edward Bailey (three brothers), David Bailey, Arthur Barber, James Bloy, Herbert Bloodworth, Charles H. Jackson, George Jackson (brothers), Perry Large, Reginald William J.
