Edward Guthrie

Second Lieutenant, 73rd Squadron, Royal Air Force. Died 8th July 1918. Aged 19. Only son of Mr. H. M. Reynolds, of Humansdorp, Cape Province, South Africa, and the late Mrs. L. E. Reynolds. Buried in CABARET-ROUGE BRITISH CEMETERY, SOUCHEZ, Pas de Calais, France. Plot XV. Row M. Grave 6.

FERREIRA

Julien Percy

Second Lieutenant, 57th Squadron, Royal Air Force. Died 16th September 1918. Aged 18. Son of the late Philip Ferreira Manager of the Standard Bank of South Africa and of Florence Ferreira, of Bureau St., Humansdorp, Cape Province, South Africa. Volunteered while a student at school in April, 1917, and left for training; obtained his "Wings" in May, 1918. No known grave. Commmeorated on ARRAS FLYING SERVICES MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France.

Lieutenant, Souther Rifles. Died 14th May 1915. Aged 27. The majority of the South African and all the German casualties resulted from the South African advance from Walvis Bay to Swakopmund and then inland in the direction of Karibib. Buried in SWAKOPMUND MUNICIPAL CEMETERY, Namibia.

Staff Sergeant 1571, East African Mechanical Transport Corps. Died 13th December 1918. Aged 39. Buried in ZOMBA TOWN CEMETERY, Malawi. Grave 84.

Lance Corporal 6321, 1st Regiment, South African Infantrry. Died 14th July 1916. Aged 37. No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 4 C.

Lance Corporal 12705, 1st Regiment (Infantry), South African Infantry. Died 20th September 1917. Aged 21. Son of Leonard and Ida A. Siebert, of Prince Albert, Cape Province. No known grave. Commemorated on YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 15 - 16 and 16A.
