The
plaque speaks for itself. There is a web site to link detailing this
that includes a
memorial garden at the airfield in Schofields N.S.W. which was operated
by the Royal Navy during WW2, follow
the Dedication ceremony link on the page to see 'Wall & Rose Garden
Memorial to the Armed forces that have occupied the area in the past
'. The more pictures link has a plaque detailing the sites use.
Schofields was occupied by two Royal Navy MONABs (Mobile Naval Air Bases),
Numbers 3 & 6, whilst Archerfield in Brisbane Queensland was occupied
by TAMY (Transportable Aircraft Maintenance Yard) number 1.
