CHARSFIELD WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information

The War Memorials can be found in the parish church and take the form of a stone arched plaque for World War 1 with 13 names. The World War 1 memorial was unveiled 26th June 1921 by Brigadier-general A L Schreiber and reported in the East Anglian Daily Times 30th June 1921. The World War 2 memorial is again in the form of a stone plaque and bears 5 names. This memorial was unveiled 14th January 1948.
