The Memorial stands in the churchyard facing the South Downs. Men from the hamlet of Cootham, now part of Storrington are also included. There are 41 names recorded by the year, rank and unit. There are four burials in the churchyard, one of whom is not included on the Memorial (Cpl. Sydney Ayling). The memorial is in the form of a three stepped base upon which is a plinth and column topped with an urn. There are shaped supports on the sides of the plinth. A garland is draped over the urn.
