The memorial is to be found at the junction of Marske Lane and the High Street, in Marske Lane, Skelton. It takes the form of a stone pillar surmounted by a small cross on a cross plinth which is in turn mounted on an octagonal plinth. The World War 1 inscriptions are on the upper plinth and Worlde War 2 on the lower plinth. There are 71 names for World War 1 and 19 for World War 2. The names listed here are in the order that they are on the memorial.
